Horizon University offers merit-based institutional scholarships for both resident and international students.
To be considered, students must submit an application to the Office of Admission.
Scholarships
Board of Directors Scholarship
Eligibility: Open to students who are:
A former or current employee at HU,
Relatives of an HU employee
Dependent children and spouses of currently serving Christian pastors and missionaries.
Scholarship Amount: 50% of tuition
President Scholarship
Eligibility: Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.85 and demonstrate extraordinary abilities and contributions.
Scholarship Amount: 50% of tuition
Director of Academics Scholarship
Eligibility: Awarded to full-time students pursuing a degree at HU who demonstrate exceptional talent and contribution in their major field.
Scholarship Amount: 50% of tuition
Freshman Academics Scholarship
Eligibility: Awarded to full-time freshman students who demonstrate leadership and potential for excellent academic performance.
Scholarship Amount: 20% to 50% of tuition
Continuing Student Scholarship
Eligibility: Awarded to full-time continuing students who demonstrate leadership and financial need.
Scholarship Amount: 20% to 50% of tuition
Financial Aid
Institutional Financial Aid: HU does not participate in federal or state financial aid programs or offer institutionally funded grants or loans.
Private Loans: Students may obtain loans from private sources (e.g., banks, credit unions), but they are personally responsible for repaying the full amount, including any accrued interest.
